June 26, 2024
This past Sunday was not any regular Sunday–it was legit a family reunion indoors to avoid the heat and humidity…lol. Over 70 photographers, videographers, and their families from around the country was in attendance. 70 might not sound like a lot to some–but it was perfect because we were able to connect and just naturally enjoy US!
If you wanted to learn how to hustle, figure out workflows, go over email templates, or leveling up with multi-streams of income–this was likely NOT the weekend. This weekend proved that we need each other more than ever in a world that believes we can’t work together. Last week, Kendrick Lamar borrowed our concept (not really but kinda).
Synopsis of Kendrick’s “Not Like Us”
We thought that the Kendrick’s “Not Like Us” track was a diss to Drake, when in all essence it was a message to mainstream media. Mainstream media created a narrative to make money, and destroyed the original message of arts and culture.
Its not Only About Growth–It’s About Reach!
This past weekend wasn’t a money-grab, it wasn’t a let me maximize on our next event or even a party like a rockstar moment –it was a take a chill pill and enjoy family moment. When the planning team walks through the door of planning, the number one rule we have is establish the intent, then create goals, and finally deliver with excellence.
This round we not only accomplished the intent and the goals, but we went beyond the slogan “Community over Competition”–we shared our lives, our laughs, and our peer circle so that our next generation can have something to look forward to. To see Generation Alpha and Z present and enjoying themselves while smashing General Tso’s chicken wings was the highlight for me at Haven Street.
“I have created nothing really beautiful, really lasting, but if I can inspire one of these youngsters to develop the talent I know they possess, then my monument will be in their work”.

It’s about US………and them!
Brotherhood Brunch
Can I tell you–we accidentally had our very first brotherhood brunch. I know the team is going to hurt me for calling it that…lol…but it’s fine. Me and Q were sitting outside of Blue Moon Cafe waiting for everyone to show up, and before long Shawn, Dell, and Keith Claytr pulled up. When I say these brothers are professional smilers, I mean…The wisdom and knowledge poured across the table was priceless. So I need yall to stay in Q and Keith’s ear about making a retreat happen for the fellas.
With that being said–I want all of us to keep our friend and brother, Kenny Clapp in your prayers. Even with almost 4,000 shares by family and celebrities alike, we are praying the safe arrival home of his baby girl, Alona (age 12).
The Social at Bmore Licks
After hours of reuniting with friends and family at the Cousins Summer Reunion, we still had gas in the tank even in the middle of Maryland’s humidity. So we gathered the squad and journeyed on over to one of Baltimore’s staples near Patterson Park– Bmore Licks. From sorbet to cookie monster and cookie butter flavors we enjoyed leaning on benches and cracking jokes and telling stories. Not only that but we shared our “see ya later cousin” moments here.

But in the meantime, we are going even bigger in November 2024 for our biggest production yet at the Marriott BWI for the Peculiar Conference 2024.
